What We’re Looking For

The theme of this year’s conference, Blueprints for Tomorrow: Designing the Next Era of Learning, highlights how social and emotional learning (SEL) cultivates the environments and skills that prepare students for the new opportunities and challenges of tomorrow’s workplace and world. Together, we aim to:

• Exchange knowledge and innovations: Showcase evidence-based strategies and cutting-edge approaches to research, practice, and policy that leverage SEL to prepare every child for the opportunities and challenges of tomorrow. 
• Foster meaningful connections among educators, researchers, and policy leaders to build networks and inspire collaborative problem-solving.
• Provide actionable insights and tools to help participants implement SEL strategies effectively in their own contexts to accelerate student engagement and achievement, promote mental wellness, effectively harness technology and artificial intelligence (AI), and build learning pathways that connect young people to thriving careers, civic life, and lifelong growth.
• Strengthen the SEL Movement: Reaffirm our shared commitment to ensuring all children are supported academically, socially, and emotionally and included in the process of building their futures.

How To Submit 

1. Review the Submission Formats to identify which type of submission(s) fit your presentation style and content.
2. Review the Call for Submissions rubric and Conference Objectives and Key Messages to increase your chances of submitting an exemplary proposal. 
3. We encourage you to draft and save your submission in a separate document, using this checklist. Note: When you enter your proposal on the Call for Submissions platform, you’ll have the option to save a draft and continue editing until the final submission deadline (March 21). 
4. Submit your proposal using the online platform between January 28, 2025, and March 21, 2025. To be considered, proposals must be complete when submitted. Late submissions will not be accepted. 
5. All proposal submitters will be notified regarding the final decision via email by May 23, 2025. If your submission is accepted, you and your co-presenters will need to plan to attend the SEL Exchange. All presenters must be available the entire conference, as we are unable to accommodate specific presentation time requests.
