Registration for the 2024 SEL Exchange opens May 7 and closes October 29, 2024 (11:59 pm CST).

CASEL is not offering a group rate.

CASEL does not offer student pricing.

• Yes, we are offering registration with a purchase order (PO). During registration, you will be prompted to upload your PO form. Invoices will be generated and included in your confirmation email. Please note the below terms and agreement policies for purchase order payments:
  • If you have an existing outstanding balance with CASEL, you will be prohibited from registering for the SEL Exchange until the balance due is satisfied and forfeit the opportunity to use a PO payment for future meetings.
  • You must provide your accounts payable department with the provided invoice to generate a PO, due to CASEL by Friday, November 1, 2024.
  • There will be a $25 fee charged to the credit card on file at the time of registration, and it will be reimbursed if the payment is received by Monday, December 16, 2024. The $25 fee is non-refundable if you cancel your registration or if we do not receive the PO payment by Monday, December 16, 2024.
  • If a PO payment is not received by Monday, December 16, 2024, the credit card on file will be charged the full registration amount on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. Refunds will not be issued after this date.
  • If you cancel your registration, the event cancellation policy will apply, and the credit card on file will be charged accordingly.
  • If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another attendee through Friday, October 25, 2024. To transfer your paid registration, please contact us.
  • Registration closes on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. No POs will be accepted as a form of payment onsite.

CASEL does not accept wire transfers as a payment method.

• You may cancel your registration and receive a refund based on the below schedule.

• All cancellation requests must be received in writing and emailed to conference@casel.org.
• If the event is canceled, CASEL is not responsible for any airfare, hotel, or other costs incurred by registrants. Speakers and program agenda are subject to change.
• A refund will be returned in the original purchase format. If paying with a credit card, a refund will take an additional 10 business to post to your account.
• Refunds requested due to being denied a visa will only be honored if CASEL is notified of the denial prior to 30 days before the event start date. For SEL Exchange 2024, the cutoff date is 11:59 p.m. (CST) on October 13, 2024. Requests received after October 13, 2024, will not be refunded.

We are sorry, but verification in writing from the attendee themself must be received for cancellation.

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another attendee through Friday, October 25, 2024. To transfer your paid registration, please contact us.

Our SEL Exchange registration fees will be refunded by the same method in which you paid. Note: If the refund is applied to your credit card, your credit card company may take up to 10 additional business days to post the refund to your account. Refunds will not be given to registrants who do not attend without canceling in advance (no-shows).

Paid registrants receive breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon breaks, and light food served during the networking receptions published in the agenda.

You will receive a confirmation letter via email from (The SEL Exchange Team <conference@casel.org>) once you register. This confirmation will include your individual registration ID number and a link for you to download a copy of your invoice.NOTE: CASEL registration is managed via a third-party company. A unique registration ID is assigned to each participant at the time registration is confirmed. You will receive a registration ID number when you register. The registration ID will appear on your meeting confirmation.

Unfortunately, we do not have any volunteer options confirmed at this time. You can email us at conference@casel.org and we will record your name.  If any opportunities arise, we will inform you. At this time, we recommend that you register, if possible, if you would like to attend, as we do expect to sell out.

CASEL has been made aware of incidents in which organizations falsely claim to be or to represent CASEL by extending offers to register you for hotel rooms or CASEL events. CASEL will not reach out to offer hotel rooms or register you for a CASEL event. Should you be contacted by any organization other than CASEL or come across any other website that appears to reference CASEL and claims to offer lower rates or a promotion to register through such organization and/or website, we urge you to use extreme caution and contact us at conference@casel.org with any relevant information. These entities often create fake websites that look authentic but are not authorized to represent CASEL.

We want you to be comfortable and enjoy the event. Business casual attire is recommended, and since meeting rooms are often cold, you may wish to bring either a jacket or a sweater. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as there will be plenty of walking throughout the venue.

• It is CASEL’s policy to never sell, rent, or share attendee contact information, including email addresses. However, attendees will have an opportunity to receive additional information from sponsors by agreeing that their full name, email address, and zip code will be shared with the 2024 SEL Exchange sponsors selected during the registration process.
• It is a common occurrence with large events, conferences, and tradeshows for companies claiming to offer CASEL attendee lists. However, consistent with CASEL’s policy, no company is authorized to distribute or sell any lists of attendees for CASEL events. CASEL will not provide these lists nor generate these messages. If you receive an email offering to sell you a list of CASEL attendees, we recommend you do not respond to it. By responding—even with a request to unsubscribe—you confirm that your email address is a valid one, which may increase the likelihood that you’ll be contacted again. Please forward any email solicitations to conference@casel.org.

UPDATE AS OF 12 APRIL 2024

• The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared that COVID-19 is now an established and ongoing health issue which no longer constitutes a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC).
• CASEL continues its commitment to create a healthy and safe in-person meeting environment for our community. To do our part, CASEL will refer to any federal, local, venue, and public health guidelines (e.g., CDC) to aid in health precautions for in-person meetings.

• Mobility: For wheelchairs, mobility scooters, power chairs and oxygen equipment rentals, contact McCormick Place Convention Center’s preferred service partner, Scootaround Mobility Solutions at 888-441-7575 or visit https://locations.scootaround.com/en/chicago.
• EMT will be available onsite in case of an emergency.
• Transportation:
  McCormick Place has four designated drop-off points for taxis and cars that provide ramped curbs and automatic entry Lakeside Center (East Building) is the recommended drop-off point closest to the SEL Exchange events. Drop off at Gate 37 (car drop off at Gate 31); pick up is at Gate 30. Elevators are located near the main entrances in all McCormick Place buildings and near the main exhibit halls on all levels, and restroom facilities for disabled patrons are provided throughout the facility. The McCormick Place Convention Center offers ample designated disabled parking, several passenger drop-off areas, and convenient curb cuts for easy wheelchair access. Click here for more information.
• Hearing and Vision: CASEL strives to ensure that our platforms and providers are accessible. Please contact us at conference@casel.org with any special requests. All presentations will be delivered in English.

Dietary needs are captured during registration, and we ensure that CASEL events offer vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free food options. If needed, when onsite, please connect with the venue team and provide them your name and they will address your needs.

All attendees invited to CASEL-sponsored receptions where alcohol is served must be of the minimum legal drinking age in the United States, which is 21 years old.

Scholarships are not available at this time. You can email us at conference@casel.org, and we will record your name. If any scholarships become available, we will notify you.

The 2024 SEL Exchange is for anyone who is interested in learning about supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of young people and educators. We will feature researchers, educators, young people and thought leaders from the field, sharing ideas and information about our theme from their different perspectives. Before attending, it may be helpful to take our free, one-hour introductory course to SEL and explore our website for more information and resources.

The call for submission deadline closed 11:59 pm on March 1, 2024. Please check the CASEL website beginning January when the process opens for the 2025 SEL Exchange.

CASEL is unable to provide continuing education credits for the SEL Exchange; however, a Certificate of Attendance will be emailed within seven days of the conclusion of the event.

The format of the 2024 SEL Exchange will be in-person; it will not be offered virtually.
