With nationwide adoption of SEL in reach, it has never been more important for the field to insist on evidence-based strategies and practices to lift the rising generation of children to their full potential. As evidence mounts for the effectiveness of an intentionally integrated approach to social, emotional and academic development wherever learning happens—in our schools and across communities—the call for action is loud and clear.
The Social and Emotional Learning Exchange has special significance today. The relevance of social and emotional learning to how we solve the most daunting societal challenges raises the stakes for our capacity to collaborate, and to demonstrate our social and emotional competence as adults. While this conference is designed to address the pressing questions of the field itself, it also places our collective work in the larger context of American public education and the surrounding socio-cultural issues that affect students, educators, families, and communities today.
CASEL is transforming American education through social and emotional learning.
As a force for field-wide unity, strategy and collaboration for 25 years, CASEL is dedicated to ensuring that a systemic approach to scaling SEL nationally is a sustainable model for generations to come. CASEL is proud to host a national forum focused on ensuring high-quality work while advancing learning and innovation in our field.
